Luke Davies (born 1962, Sydney) is an Australian writer of novels and poetry.
Davies grew up in West Pymble, Sydney, in a middle-class Catholic family. He went to a private school and then to the University of Sydney to study for an arts degree. He published his first poetry collection, Four Plots for Magnets, in 1982, in his third year. "
His novel Candy, recently made into a film starring the late Heath Ledger. His other works include another novel, Isabelle the Navigator, and poetry Four Plots for Magnets, Absolute Event Horizon, Running With Light and Totem.
Davies' collection of poetry Absolute Event Horizon was shortlisted for the 1995 Turnbull Fox Phillips poetry prize.
